Lifestyle photographer in Columbus Ohio

Documenting honest, real memories that capture the flavor of your family.

If you only had a couple hours to show me exactly what your family life looks like right now, what would you do?

What games would you play? What activities make your kids laugh? That’s exactly what we do together during your lifestyle photo session.

No matching outfits. No posing. No standing in a random field to get that “perfect” portrait.

Every session looks a little different, but that’s what it special. And your photos? Totally unique, just like you.

Have you scrolled through a dozen family photography websites?

Is it all starting to blend together?

The poses. The outfits. The epic outdoor locations. The “authentic” and “raw” moments that look nothing like anything your family actually does together?

Yeah, I see it too.

You Want more than the same ol’ picture everyone else has.

You want to run barefoot through your backyard. To climb on furniture and make whimsical crafts and eat ice cream sundaes. To make weird jokes and laugh until nothing comes out anymore. To have a darn good time making family photos.

Your experience together as a family is the most important thing.

The amazing photos you get at the end are the cherry on top.

How photo sessions work (it's easy as 1-2-3):

1. Say Hello

You reach out to me and we schedule a time to chat on the phone. We brainstorm, we laugh, we discuss your questions. If we fit together like PB+J, we put your date on the books.

2. Enjoy your session

I come over, we hang out, and capture memories painlessly. Your session will be filled with movement, play, goofiness, and most importantly, love.

3. the Reveal

Just 4 weeks after your session, your gallery is ready. Get your tissues ready, because it’s my job to make you cry! You can start downloading, printing, and sharing your images immediately.

“My husband actually enjoyed himself, and the kids didn’t want Daisy to leave!”

“Family photoshoots have always been stressful. I always feel like I'm putting my husband out, and worry that the kids won't cooperate. Daisy put me completely at ease in the time leading up to our shoot. Her approach is so personalized and helpful.” - Jackie

What does it cost?

I know you’re busy. Thankfully, this is the Easy Button for family memories. My session fee covers all the planning and prep, the session time, and all of your digital images with nothing held back.

A quick note about terminology: I consider all sessions to be “family” sessions. Whether you have 7 kids or none, a newborn, a dog, a turtle, or the world’s largest collection of squishmallows, a family session is for you.

From booking to final printed product, a lifestyle photo session with me is one of the most simple (and fun) things you will do all year.

As I’m packing up to leave, your spouse will say “that wasn’t bad!,” and the kids will beg me to stay for dinner.

You’ll turn to me and say, “Daisy, why did I wait so long to schedule this?”

Then we’ll laugh, and share a hug, as you breathe a sigh of relief. You never have to worry about photos again.

We’re family.

Not quite ready, but wanna keep me in your back pocket? No problem! Grab my free guide below and we’ll stay in touch.

Family session Q&A

This might save you an e-mail now or later.

  • Unlike a traditional portrait session, documentary photo sessions with me are very laid back. The best images happen when everyone is willing to show their true personalities. Keep in mind that I am a stranger to your kids, and they need the time and space at the beginning of the session to get comfortable with me. This is the only way I can capture the relaxed photos you see in my galleries. Not by rushing through it.

  • Well I have great news for you because my sessions are low-pressure and non-judgemental. I’m patient with kids and I can make chaos look really cute on camera. And you’re not alone… pretty much ALL of my clients feel nervous the first time. Getting family pictures done is a little stressful. But I can guarantee to minimize the stress for you once you commit to this. Family is precious, home is a safe space, and through these photos, I’ll show you that what you have is gorgeous. All we need to make beautiful images together is a family who loves one another. If I need to be strategic with shooting around the lived-in areas of your home, that’s totally doable.

  • I am typically booked up 2 months ahead, but more for weekends which are very limited to begin with. If you think you waited too long, please reach out anyway just in case — I might be able to squeeze you in!

  • Your phone’s camera roll might have a lot of cute snapshots of your family, but it’s also cluttered with memes and screenshots of dinner recipes and blurry unflattering pics you keep telling yourself you’ll get around to deleting. The photos we make together are special. They are tailored to your family. They are artful, and intentional. And best of all, you will be IN the photos too! These moments will be displayed proudly on your walls and in photo albums, passed down for generations. You will actually get to see them everyday, and your kids will too. You will value them above anything else you own, and because of that, they will last.

  • Yes! Once you’ve worked with me the first time, you can join Photo Club for access to mini sessions and other perks that aren’t available to the general public.

  • Please allow 4 weeks, especially in the Spring or Fall. If you need images or professional prints by a certain date, just let me know when you reach out and I will schedule you appropriately.

  • For in-home sessions, you don’t have to worry about it! For outdoor sessions, there are definitely downsides to being photographed in the rain and freezing cold. If there is a high chance of rain, snow, or other bad weather on session day, we can move your session indoors or look at the calendar and figure it out.

  • Nope. I can make beautiful images in almost any home using available natural light (and artificial light that looks natural). You are welcome to send me photos of your home before booking for peace of mind.

  • Newborn and in-home family sessions are typically scheduled around midday (between 10 AM - 1 PM). Outdoor sessions are scheduled when lighting is soft, usually 2 hours within sunrise or sunset. I only schedule one session per day though, so if your family needs more flexible timing, that’s doable.
